BIOGRAPHY: Pastor Momans made a serious decision in 1985 to ask Jesus Christ to become Lord of her life. At that time, she was a member of “Prince of Peace COGIC, under the Shepherding of Elder Alan Smith. It was here were the word of God came alive and she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. God continued to refine Pastor Momans, in 1986-she start working with The Followers of Christ ministry under the leadership of Evangelist Bertha Lee. It was at this place in her life that, she learned how to serve (see church history). In 1990, she became a member of Liberty Temple Full Gospel Church, under the teachings of Apostle C. Turner. It was here that she received her greatest spiritual healing, and the liberty of God’s word. Various gifts from God had start manifesting in her life. In 1992, she met Pastor Tony Davidson of then Lombard Baptist Church (former host of Lets talk about marriage and the family), and began working with this ministry. Later, she helped with the birthing of the now Chicagoland Christian Center. But God was still calling her to another work in the field. Later, in that year she met Pastor Marzell Gill of Love Center Christian Fellowship, and became a very active and dedicated member. It was with this ministry, God began to open doors to her regarding church work, the ministry of helps, church business and leadership. She was licensed, and became a board member. God had one more place for Pastor Momans before he launched her out to do His work. She attended Progressive Life-Giving Word Cathedral church and school of ministry, under the teachings of Apostle Donald Alford for a time of refuge. Pastor Momans has a heart for souls and a work to increase the Kingdom of God. She believes that every community should have several lights in them for the lost to find their way. She loves to teach the word of God and to unlock the mysteries of God’s word, she moves by the Anointing and Power of the Holy Ghost. Doreen Momans was ordained as Senior Pastor of the Followers of Christ Church on March 14th, 1999. She served as Pastor for seven years when God called her to release the ministry and ordain Dorrian & Carmetha Whigham as the Senior Pastors. In 2006 the name was changed to Followers of Christ International Outreach where this ministry now touches the lives of people in Africa. God elevated Pastor Momans to Founder and Overseer of the ministry. Elder Momans later founded the organization Fellowship Link of Churches “FLOC”, where she is the Overseer of several churches and ministries, “Fresh Start Faith Outreach Ministries, Restored Love Ministries and Followers of Christ International Outreach”. Elder Momans is the wife to Minister Stevie Momans, the mother of two sons, Dorrian (Carmetha) and Marcus (Kathleena), and the Grandmother of six. Elder Momans is the CEO of Momans Consulting, Inc. created to help establish not-for-profit organizations, churches and ministries by incorporating, filing all the necessary documents to become Federal, City, State governmental compliance and help file for 501c3 status. Elder Momans and her husband currently reside in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
